At the heart of the multi tool system is the PAS-2620ES power unit; a 25.4cc heavy-duty Echo engine of almost legendary relability, connected to a half-length driveshaft. It is equipped with Easy Start for almost effortless starting, a loop handle for ease of operation and grouped cluster controls. The Echo Easy Start system is a culmination of years of unique and innovative developements. It works to minimise the effort required to start the engine with greatly reduced pulling power and vastly reduced kick back effect. In most cases the effort required to pull the starter is reduced by up to 50% compared to standard models.

The PAS-2620ES has been designed for comfortable use and easy maintenance. The fuel tank is positioned to make fuelling easier with a higher intake spout and the primer is neatly located next to the choke for one handed operation, allowing the user to hold the shaft of the machine for stability when starting. A two-stage air filtration system increases cleaning capability and allows for longer maintenance intervals.

Thanks to the quick change coupler, nine optional tools can be fitted quickly and easily, simply by pushing and tightening the preferred attachment to the engine unit.
